This presentation was filmed at the 2014 CCBS Ethics in Professional Practice Conference.

About the presentation:

Since Nathan Azrin first declared in 1974, “what we are seeing may be the birth of a new and unique profession,” referring to Applied Behavior Analysis in the first Presidential address delivered at the inaugural meeting of the Midwest Association for Behavior Analysis (MABA), we have grown and matured into a true profession. The process began with the development of what is now a highly successful international board certification process. Now, states across the country are adopting licensing laws that place our profession inline with other human service professions. The Massachusetts licensing law is scheduled to go into effect in mid-October of this year. This presentation will review some of the events that led to this historic moment and discuss what behavior analysts should expect.
